Updated MPC technology (unbiased) overview

Hi people,

First of all, I would like to congratulate CCI for the wonderful idea of providing us the Discussion Board, as well for the high quality of the discussions.
I am involved in the choice of an Advanced Control Company for the implementation of Advanced Control in my company and I have to consider MPC technologies among DMCPlus, RMPCT, STAR, Perfecter (from Pavilion), and SMOC (from Shell).
Easiness of implementation is one of the (many) things to consider, being identification task the most time consuming.
I would like to know whether someone could help me giving me some (unbiased) informations (from both off-line and on-line packages) about the MPC technologies above mentioned.
I have read the excellent overview written by Joe Qing and Tom Badgwell " An overview of industrial Model Predictive Control" but, since it is from 1996, I think it´s just outdated.
